Battery storage applications in detail

Electricity procurement
optimization:

BEO battery storage systems shift your electricity consumption to cheaper time frames (e.g. more consumption at noon when spot prices are negative and less consumption in the evening when there are price peaks). This means that BEO can always offer cheaper electricity than other suppliers who do not have a battery storage system at your site.

The optimization works in combination with a BEO electricity tariff or your existing dynamic or futures tariff.

Grid fee reduction:

BEO battery storage systems reduce peak loads, which reduces grid fees.

The battery storage systems are sized so that, with an adequate buffer, they can provide year-round peak shaving, enable atypical grid usage, and optimize upcoming dynamic grid fees.

Trading and ancillary services:

BEO battery storage systems trade electricity (intraday and day-ahead markets) and provide ancillary services — both through FTM storage (front-of-the-meter, grid-connected battery storage) and BTM storage (behind-the-meter, battery systems located at the customer’s site).

BEO battery storage systems can — if a PV system is available — temporarily store excess PV power for later use.
